The Gallery
A project built on the concept of a traveling gallery and creating a spacial experience for reflection. An installation that is targeted towards places of constant motion which fuses an octagon shape inspired by the principle of Quattrocento in sacred geometry with a perspective based minimalist visuals, urging the person to “slow down” and “take in” the bigger picture.

How it all started?
Towards the end of 2016, @blackandwhitediary account has been used as a creative space to share a diversity of artwork and showcase a strong passion for Arabic calligraphy and black & white photography. Not only is @blackandwhitediary a brand that started in the UAE but it's a movement that turns artwork into urban wear. With no doubt, @blackandwhitediary is eager to expand and open up to opportunities and collaborations with other artists that share the same vision.

Behind Black and White Diary
My name is Menat El Abd, I'm an Egyptian artist who has been living in the UAE for over 10 years. A huge part of my work has been inspired by the classic Egyptian movies era. With this passion and inspiration in mind, I aspire to create not only art but urban wear for others to share this same experience.
